Problem with new ssd

Hello, everyone,

recently I bought new SSD MP500 120gb from corsair to my Asus gl552vw. So i asus, opened bios and my new SSD storge doesn't show up anywhere. Maybe someone knows why? (I have already updated bios and that stuff) .

bad port/cable maybe?

oh sorry i didn't mention that this is m.2 slot PCIe SSD so there is no cable required, and on Asus site, they say that my Asus gl552wv support PCIe  gen.3x4 SSD

According to Asus specsheet your laptop only supports SATA3 through M.2 and your SSD is NVMe which is not supported.

Will samsung 850 evo m.2 work properly?

Any SATA3 M.2 drive should work. I found people using the Samsung 850 EVO drives with success.
