Can you connect a Wireless Access Point to Another Wireless Access Point

avg123

Currently I have a wireless AP connected to my router. Can I connect another Wireless AP to my existing AP? Or do I need to connect it with my main router?

There is a thing called a "Reverse AP" that will connect to a wireless network and then let you plug additional devices into it like a switch if that's what you mean

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I mean like daisy chaining APs like Main router----ethernet cable---->AP------ethernet cable---->AP

It can also be called a wireless bridge.

I suspect that an AP with multiple ethernet ports internally has a switch or at least a hub, which if you're only plugging in two things should be fine, in which case doing this would work and should be easy

more like Router----siwtch--|----------siwtch--|----------siwtch--|

                                          AP                     AP                    AP

That only applies to pure APs. But it you are trying to use existing wifi routers you could just daisy chain. Just remember that everytime you do that you are NATing a NAT which could cause a fuck ton of issues on the far end APs
