Help with my FPS.

Hello, I am confused. No matter which game I play with VSNYC turned OFF, I cannot seem to get more than 60 fps in any game, from minecraft to BF4. Any help will be appreciated.

 

My Specs:

GTX 780 SC with ACX Cooler

i5 2500K 3.3 GHz

8GB Ram

1TB Hard Drive

750 Watt Power Supply

Check your NVIDIA control panel, there is an option for VSYNC. Turn it off and see how that goes.

Doesn't matter if the monitor only outputs 60Hz, games can output more.

He means in game frame count, not total output visual frame count

Like Bluejay said, there should be an option in the Nvidia Control Panel to "Let the application decide" if you want V-Sync on or not.

As said above check that the Vsync in the Nvidia Control Panel is not set to ON it may come under adaptive Vsync also.

The advantage of higher frames, if you didn't know, was if that any performance impact like explosions or long range vision will be still having a smooth visual gameplay due to the extra frames able to be sacrificed while will maintaining a smooth 60 frames.

Did you install EVGA Precision x?? If you did, Did you set the frame rate target at the bottom left to 60fps??

Probably broken hardware or a big software issue ( virus, maybe, idk tho )

Thank you to everyone who posted, turns out Nvidia control panel did have vsnyc on globally.
