Hi guys.

My PC is underperforming for some reason.

Just yesterday I was able to play GTA 5 at 1080p high/very high at around 40 FPS.

(My rig: Ryzen 5 1600 @3.9GHz and a GTX580 1.5GB) When I started up GTA 5 today (at the exact same settings without any background programs) it hovered around 14FPS constantly. Even TF2,wich I was able to run at the highest settings while never dropping below 60fps wouldn't go over 28fps anymore. I have no idea how to fix this. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend to remove and or / and reinstall GPU drivers. It happened to my GPU once too. 

 

Plus 580 should be able to output 60FPS + at 1080P in GTA V right?

 

EDIT: Never mind, I thought you were talking about AMD 580, but 580 should still be decent. Still, remove the drivers using DDU and reinstall them. This should fix your problem.

DDU, re-install drivers, make sure you're set to the Ryzen balanced power plan (or whatever it's called) and make sure your CPU or GPU aren't throttling due to temperature. Use something like MSI Afterburner with the in game monitoring to check.
