I have an Acer Aspire E 15 E5-574G-52QU which features a full hd TN panel. I was wondering that if it's possible to replace my laptop screen with an IPS panel. I found this website http://www.panelook.com/ which offers a plethora of options for screens. Can somebody tell me if its possible at all, replacing a TN with an IPS panel?

Also if possible, please tell me that for an IPS display is there any kind of trade off between features... for eg, screen brightness having a trade off with color accuracy (I don't know, just saying)

The only tradeoff I can think of is latency however it isn't typically that bad unless every single ms matters to you.

Yeah I know, but I meant trade off in the IPS panel domain itself, not compared with a TN panel. A few ms of screen latency isn't an issue at all, not a fps gamer :P

Thanks though :)

Consumes slightly more power, backlight bleed
Things like colour accuracy, colour gamut, brightness depend on the specific panel model

Backlight bleed is very common for IPS panels?!

Yes, whether it's severe or not, it depends on your luck
