Blackberry help

So I got a new (old) blackberry bold 9330, and just got it unlocked so I could use my sim card on it. It works, but if I try to do some things (like use the browser), it says the its not part of my plan, Even though when I put it in my other phone, it works just fine.

Didn't Blackberry have special plans for data? I know they all got phased out.

Have you tried the latest software build for that phone?

 

Just shooting in the dark here. Haven't touched a Blackberry since 2011.

Yeah, from what I remember Blackberry phones used to have separate data plans than regular phones. I imagine that's the issue you're running into. You're not missing out on anything. Any kind of browsing on a device of that era is absolutely horrible.

i used a blackberry in 2014 (broke my phone so went back to my bold for a while) and i used browsing native through verizon's data plan. just popped my sim in a

Yup. This phone is from 2010. Different era.

I'm not sure if you've done this or not, but have you tried manually putting in the APN information?

Not saying that I DONT know what my apn information is, but could you tell me how to get it, just to jog my memory?

Not really. Google it? I had to input on my Zenfone to get any kind of data to work.

It's not secret, and it's not specific to you, it's just network information.

Google *your network* APN and it should pop up. For example, here's the one I use.
