Hello, I'm looking into starting hosting servers for csgo. I would like to be able to host about 5 csgo servers in 128tic and 32 slot without problem. What would be a good server? how much ram, ssd storage and how strong of a processor do i need? Buying a premade one is also a option. Internet is not a problem, I'm just not sure what specs is going to be required to host it with ease.

Based on my past experience, you're gonna wanna shoot above 8GB of RAM, 16GB if possible. For CPU, you're gonna want a high clock speed above 3.0Ghz more in the 3.5Ghz range with 6~8 cores, or 2 quad cores at this speed would also work. For bandwidth, your gonna want 200Mbps~400Mbps, bandwidth caps are another hurdle later on if you have one. Then for storage, you're gonna want 15GB~20GB of storage per server, more if you have a lot of custom maps and content so 2x 128GB SSD in RAID 1. Note: there are ways of using one server directory to run multiple servers then logging the data to different files but if you're new to hosting/server work, don't attempt this to start. Finally, for the OS, use a Linux server distro with no GUI such as Ubuntu or CentOS.

Hello, thank's for your answer, I've got the assumption of reading around on diffrent forums that you should dedicate a core per server, and about 2-3gb ram. Do you have any knowledge of a store selling racket servers for a good price?

Ebay is your friend. The only issue is that real rackmount servers that are new enough to have 3.5GHz+ CPU clocks are really expensive, because many are under 4 years old. You could probably get by easier with a custom build that has a high clock-speed Xeon in it.

My native language is C++

Thanks for all the help, I'm not hosting myself but in a place hosted by a company. Does normal ram sticks, motherboards and power supply work? Or do i want a specific one that can runs better for a long duration? Thinking of getting a intel xeon E3-1245 V6, 16GB RAM kingstone value pack (2 stick), asus rog strix b250I gaming and a EVGA superNOVA 650W PSU? Does it sound like a server able to run that kind of servers?
