Trying to build a pc with gtx 1070

Was wondering if ryzen would be bottlenecked by ram speed because I saw a post where that was the case for somebody else

And if there is anything else that could be changed in this build please let me know

The ram speed should not bottleneck the cpu everything will work fine but consider mybe a corsair cx psu 550 or 600w and if you have some in the budget get a r7 depends on your work load

Add an SSD, the samsung 850 evo is a good budget option. also i would get a 650w power supply in case you want to upgrade down the road.

Ok I can see if I can upgrade the ram but the EVGA PSU is cheaper than the corsair one where I live. Only reason to get the corsair then is that its modular

It's also much better quality.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

I have an ssd in my pc already so if I build this pc I'll just put it in the new one. But I don't see why I would need a 650W psu

faster RAM give u more performance for ryzen cpu. just check Linus recent video on this topic. ideally 2667Hz or 2993Hz is what you want.

Change the motherboard to AsRock AB350m pro4. MSI ryzen motherboard have stability issues.

that evga psu is bad quality, which mean it may break after 1 year or so and likly bring other parts with it (CPU motherboard etc.) so get a better quality one, such as the grey label cxm PSU. those extra dollar is worth it.

Motherboard is total garbage

Go for Asus TUF B350M Plus

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

newer gen cpu such as 6th 7th gen intel and ryzen cpu only support ddr4 RAM.

Well I was thinking of a black and red MOBO. But I found this one https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Prime-B350-Plus-Ryzen-Motherboard/dp/B06X416NJ1/ref=sr_1_1?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1506535142&sr=8-1&keywords=Asus+Prime+B350-Plus

This is what I've got so far:

yep, this looks better now. have fun building it!

on a side note, if you dont know already, you can overclock ryzen even with the stock cooler comes with it. you can hit 3.7-3.8 Hz without overheating, so thats some extra free performance.
