Im looking at a build for an ITX PC, however im a little unsure on the powersupply. I have a strict dimension limit of 140mm in length which severely limits my PSU options. I was looking at a 4770k with a Asus Z87 Deluxe I board with a 780TI graphics card. Plus 2 hard drives. Would a 500W gold rated PSU be enough for the build? The parts will probably be mildly overclocked, however not a complete overkill overclock just due to the CPU cooler size restraints.

Here was the PSU that I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104173

Also what are your thoughts on the AURUM line of FSP powersupplies?

Im not sure if a 450W is up to the tak of power a 780TI and 4770k though :/

I've seen people run a Titan and a 4770K with it, what the power requirements for the 780Ti is however I don't know. Either way you will not have huge headroom for overclocking. I didn't see however that you were gonna use the Lian-Li case, and if you're gonna use a case which has space for a regular sized ATX power supply you should of course just get one of those. The reason I went with the SFX power supply is because I'm going as small possible and building my own case.

the thing is whith the case its very picky with the PSU, require it to be no longer then 140mm. Most ATX supplies run into 160mm. The FSP one I linked fits the requirements, however I have never had a personal experience with FSP group products.

nope, thats why I posted it as a power supply question not a case question. I personally think the Prodigy looks like a cheap piece of junk.

I'm with you on that one, never been a big fan of the case, plus it's much larger than it needs to be.

As for FSP PSU's I have no personal experience, but it generally seems that the few people who are using them like them.

Cant really comment on FSP's power supplies as I've never used them, but as another option, you could try the Silverstone ST60F-PS. Its a 600w 80+ Silver rated power supply, that also is fully modular, and is 140mm. It is a little pricey compared to the FSP you posted though.
