that laptop is pretty much as good as it gets in that budget.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Was thinking about buying broken laptop and then reparing it? I did it some time ago with dell xps something... 

That can be good if u are in this kind of things. I gained then like 400$ Because i bought it for like half of a price.

Thanks for the answers, I think I will be getting this laptop. One last thing, I heard that the screen was mediocre and that you could change it. What kind of screen/ equipment do I need for this?

If you buy it directly from Dell to get the IPS panel, then yes, it's one of the most compelling options in that price range. Though if you go for sub $1100, there's the Acer Predator Helios 300 with GTX 1060 for $1049, another solid option for the price
