I'm looking for a hybrid, small form factor laptop or a high res tablet

I just sold my Nexus 7 and a few months ago my Mac Air BLEW UP. (The battery exploded and warped the casing)

Both were the very first gen :(

Anyways, when I lost my laptop I had my tablet as a backup but now well I have neither (duh.)

Budget:

Under $600USD

Requirements:

1080p

10inches or above

Not iOS

Use:

Media consumption

Web browsing

Some content creation (drawing/design work)

Nice to have's:

2560x1600+ display

Powerful CPU

I'm looking at this

Well this one depends on if you like Sony or not.  Has a biggish screen (15.5in) with 1080p, and has i3 inside.

Some would say overpriced

Content creation, teh internet and media isnt demanding. The pen will come in handy for creation, and the 1600p screen is nice.

that looks really nice for the price! NFC, passive charging, backlit, 1080p, DVD Drive....

do you know if that model is touchscreen?

demanding wasnt the issue. i was more worried about features provided. Grape Guild linked a nice laptop for ~$75 more.

The pen and the screen are the two things that make the Note 10.1 so attractive.

^ That's a good tablet, if you are looking for something smaller look at the hp omni 10 for $399(Has a 1080p display) or if you are willing to sacrifice the display you can get an asus t100 for $379, and it includes a keyboard dock. Keep in mind that it does run an atom bay trail, so if you want something a bit beefier get a refurbished surface pro 1, or acer w700.
