The goal here is to get as close to $1000 as possible. I'm sticking with the 7700k and *a* 1050Ti. Other than that, I'm pretty open to suggestions. I'd like to stick with 2x8 ram as I'd like to get more in the future as well as drop about $750 on a 1080 Ti.

I'll be wanting to eventually run on 2-3 monitors with one @ 144hz and will be doing some heavy gaming and content creation.

I'm upgrading from a laptop.

EDIT: Just realized my build didn't update the GPU. I'll get to that when I get home. It's supposed to be a 1050 Ti not a 1060.

If you can, get coffee lake. Should be out in a few weeks.

The 212 Evo isn't great for a 7700K. Due to the toothpaste Intel uses, you won't overclock too much.

The SL308 costs $20 less than the 850 Evo, and is pretty much as good.

The PSU is terrible for $110. You can get better units with a $1000 budget

So waiting for Coffelake would be wise. Also that i7700k is super overkill for a 1050ti (unless you plan on upgrading)

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself
