Buy a Wi-Fi adaptor?

Swesaera

So I have been stuck on this for a while.

Should I buy a Wi-Fi adaptor and get a £100 motherboard or do I buy the ASUS Tuf Mark 1 Z270 which has Wi-Fi with it?

The Wi-Fi adaptor I was gonna get was the Asus - PCE-AC56 PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter for £50 and the TUF costs £200.

If the whole reason to get the Asus Tuf is to get a Motherboard with wifi you can go much cheaper.  (Wifi is on a lot of Motherboard)

Are there any other reasons to get the ASUS Tuf Board ?

Will the performance of the TUF Wi-Fi be good? compared to the Adaptor.

There aren't many cheaper options when I am also looking for a Z270 motherboard though, all are around the same price (according to PCPartPicker at least

Most on board WiFi I seen uses Laptop WiFi cards. I think they top out at AC 1300 or so. At least Ive never seen a laptop card go above 867Mbps on 5Ghz. I could be wrong, but the higher end AC PCIx cards tend to have heatsinks on them. So yeah. But any thing AC would be good in my.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
