Encrypted USB for Mac&Windows

Hey guys!

 

I've got my hands on a Macbook and thus am rethinking my data security system.

 

Until now, I've been using TrueCrypt and created a simple file. Worked fine with Windows, but since the MacOS natively doesn't support NTFS, I thought of ExFat as an alternative.

Now, the question is: What way is there to create a password protected, encrypted usb drive formatted in ExFat?

I hope there is a solution without additional software :)
