which phone should I get?

I am wanting to get a new phone to replace my ancient iphone 4s.I am debating if I should get a Iphone x when it comes out or the S8 and save some money.

With the iphone it has my games on gamecenter and I enjoy apple phones but the price of it.

With the S8 it has a lower price and a headphone jack and usb type c but I will lose my clash royale and clans progress.

Which one should I get?

Iphone X is the most compelling phone apple has made but I'd go with the s8 even if they were the same cost. It has a bigger higher res screen, lots of flexibility with android, and a lot of cool little features samsung added.

Just did the math I could by an iPad with the money I save so I still have my royale

You can transfer progress as long as you have both devices.

the S8 is a great phone. it's not perfect, but it does justify its pricing. and nowadays the S8 is getting cheap. i would get the S8+ since it has a slightly larger battery 

 

i would imagine demand for the iphone x to be very high. need to get your pre-order as soon as it opens.

 

there is also the Pixel 2, we'll hear more on Oct 4 i believe

You won't get the iPhone X this year if you're not extremely lucky with pre-orders or something. It's gonna be in very high demand and they're not making enough to meet it. 

 

Regarding what phone you should get, it's highly subjective. The S8 does almost everything the iPhone X does, but cheaper. Of course, it doesn't have the AR capabilities and the Face-ID thing, but do you really need that? Also depends on your budget. A 1000$ phone is no joke, and the S8 is way cheaper in that regard. 

 

I would actually get the Oneplus 5 if you live in a country where you can get it through their website. It has a very light android skin, great camera, great performance, looks great, and doesn't cost that much. I think it's under 500$ actually.
