AMD Vega FE drivers

Does anyone know if Vega FE drivers work on Vega 64? I have two of them and it's really annoying how I can't use crossfire int he current drivers. I know the fe drivers support it, so i just wanted to know if i could use FE drivers and get it without flashing the bios on my card.

Chances are no, but you can always try it.

 

I'd imagine the 16gb hbm2 is what would screw with things.

that's what I was thinking as well, which is why I'd rather ask instead of waste my time unisntalling everything, reinstalling everything etc

Yeah it probably wouldn't work. You'd be better off trying to figure out why 64 CF isn't working.

it's not working because amd hasn't enabled it in the drivers yet, simple as that.

Why get 2 Vega 64s when you could get 2 1080tis for about the same price and 30-50% better performance in dual gpu modes?

because I have a freesync monitor and I got vega 64 for msrp, so it wasn't the same price as 2 1080TIs

I also don't want to give nvidia more money

You should contact amd about it, since they've basically listed it as something Vega supports...

@SPG Well it looks like you're in luck, it seems today amd released drivers that allow rx Vega to run in crossfire!

ya I saw that, either I got one hell of a lemon (doubt it) or the drivers need some work. I crash at stock settings, and the moment I try doing any overclocking it freaks out. For some reason it won't let me do the cards separately, which is a shame because I know I can get one of them to 1760 on the core, and 1100 on the memory.

worst case scenario....it's my card that is having the issue, but I really hope that isn't the case because I really don't want to take apart my water cooled loop
