$100 price increase would mean dropping the SSD, not sure how good a tradeoff that is, also, I forgot to mention that I'm only going for 720P60

why dont you upgrade monitor also? i think you can build 1080p gaming rig with monitor in that budget but yes the cpu selection depends on how badly you need streaming & content creation.

I would upgrade the 1060 to 6gb, much more future proofed that way. My buddy's 680s were doing him great, but the 2gb of VRAM was a serious bottleneck.  Also, personally I'd save up until your next paycheck to grab a 2TB drive instead of 1TB. Better price/gb and you'll have storage for days

please quote so that we get notification of your reply :)  ok that is not a good motherboard for ryzen. for ram, ryzen benefits from fastest ram so you should get fastest ram possible. if you prefer the case, thats fine but the one i selected has psu shroud & decent cable management & last you don't need that much higher watt psu. your system will hardly need over 300-350w in total ..so a decent 450-500w psu is more than enough!

Actually, I Probably will get the one you suggested, but I'm a bit skeptical of the seagate HDD, Why can't I use the WD one?
