Help for new earbuds

Hello, I need some help looking for some new earbuds. I had two pairs of earbuds, but they both died on me. This time, I want to spend a bit more money on earbuds ($100 max). The problem is that many I've used have the little gels on the end of them and I don't like them as I could never get used to them. I also want one with good audio quality and build, ones that don't get tangled easily or tear. Thanks.

The wireless smokin buds from skull candy aren't the best, but for 60 bucks, they're a comfy fit, sound okay for the price, and have a pretty solid battery life. Used to be my daily drivers, not too bad.

The only earbuds I can think of around $100 are from Shure or RHA and they're overpriced.

First off, if that's all you can think of, you clearly aren't all that aware of what's out there. Secondly, what makes you say that they're overpriced?

GR07 is the best IEM in this price range, it has a very balanced sound with no big drops or peaks and it offers a good amount of detail for the price. There are two versions of it, there is a classic and a bass and it is first in the highs where they are different as you can see in the graph below. They have also made a version with a detachable cable, but I think that it is only the Bass Edition that comes in that version and it is going to cost you a bit more, but paying maybe 30$ more to get a detachable cable is 100% worth it, since it is often the cable on IEMs that breaks. OP I would also recommend getting a small carrying case, where you put them in when you aren't using them, it is going to minimize the risk of the cable breaking.

I think he is one of those that think anything above 100 is overpriced or something like that.

Though Shure IEMs generally don't really offer the best value, their shell is very good, but personally, I can't really talk that highly of them at least not when it comes to sound.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

Yeah! I am a firm believer that spending this much money on IEMs is a waste.

Especially when you can get something excellent under $50. These Marshall earbuds are not the most detailed, but they sound good and won't make you tired with hot treble or poor fit. That's something that annoys me with a lot of earbuds, at any price.

So how are they overpriced? It's just your opinion.

Good for you. I'll assume that you've never actually listened to high end headphones then.

Overpriced because earbuds are getting better and cheaper every year. And these Shures have been around for a while and are still $100. They should be $60.

No, they shouldn't. The Shure cable alone is well worth the $30 or so that they charge for just the cable. They're still excellent.
