Help getting correct resolution??

I just recently finished building my pc not too long ago. I'm running an AMD Vega 64 with an x370 Taichi from AsRock. My monitor is a Samsung CHG70 2560x1440p 144hz. I have them connected via DisplayPort 1.4 but Windows isn't allowing me to change the resolution above 1280x1024. Any ideas??
