Hey everyone!

So I was using core i7 laptops for over 3 years, but since I don't travel that much anymore, I think it's time for me to build my very first PC.

I'm almost sure I want a Ryzen 5 1600, and at least 8 gigs of RAM.

But the videocard I'm not so sure about.

I'm using my computers for photo and video editing and 3D modeling (in inventor)

Can you guys suggest a setup? I live in Hungary, and my budget is 1000 US$. I don't need monitor keyboard and mouse.

Thank you for your help! :)

Szia :P

I don't know a lot about modelling but for that much money i'd suggest the 1050Ti or the 1060 3Gb since the 1060 6gb is like 102.000 forint and that's the cheapest one by gigabyte.

You can see the differences between the two cards here (Árukereső)

Not sure how much VRAM does inventor eat up but the 1050Ti has 4Gb and the 1060 has 3Gb though it is faster.

For system RAM i'd suggest getting the fastest possible memory your motherboard can handle since Ryzen performs better with faster RAM.

I'll look around a little more for ya.

Angolul írtam mert nem tudom hogy vannak-e szabályok más nyelvek használata ellen. :)

1. More RAM. Preferably high frequency ones.

2. Do you play games? What games? Many of these editing apps only need a graphics card to be present. Whether it's a fast one or a slow and cheap one doesnt matter.

Thank you very much! What about AMD gpu-s?

I don't really play games.

You mean a new one? Is it because driver updates?

@R.Kristof Uhh itthon nagyon gusztustalanul sokba kerülnek a gyors RAM-ok

The RAM prices are disgustingly high sadly.

Igen sajnos én is láttam. Yeah, they are... Unfortunately. But the main thing is the GPU. I have no clue what to choose.

Hello

1600 is a solid choice, you would want at least 16gb (I recommend a Corsair kit) of ram though. As for the gpu if your main workflow is modelling than maybe a GTX 1060, 970, rx 470 or maybe even a professional grade gpu like a quadro or firepro.

By 1060 you mean 6 GB or 3 GB? Thank you

If you are using inventor for large models, 8GB of system memory is the bare minimum. If you are doing assemblies of more than 500 parts i would suggest getting at least 16 GB and 32 GB would be optimal

Thank you! I'll get 16 gigs than. What about the gpu? Any suggestions?

There's not much new features added to GPU calculations. If it wont be used for any serious games then old ones like the GTX 660 will do. Of course if you have the budget then you can go further. The cheapest way to get a lot of VRAM and prevent running out of it is the 1060 6gb at about $280.

@R.Kristof So i'd say your best bet here is to do a little research and see how much VRAM does Inventor use. *if any at all*

If it uses it heavily then Gtx 1060 6Gb is your best bet Itt egy árlista.

If it does use VRAM but it doesn't focus mostly on it then you could get away with a 1060 3Gb or maybe the 1050Ti 4Gb.

The 1060 3Gb costs around 20.000 forint more but it does have faster memory and clock speeds.

This build will probably cost more than 300.000 forint because the RAM and the GPU prices are higher at the moment.

In summary: Check how much VRAM does Inventor use since that is pretty much what's holding us back here.

@R.Kristof Could you tell how complex models do you make? Also what version of Inventor do you use. I found the system requirements here.

Also i threw together a part list quickly but please don't take this as your best bet because there probably are cheaper and better things to use.

Here's the list

The SSD is optimal but it's nice to have one as a boot drive though it doesn't really matter for modelling.

I picked the Define S case for no reason. I personally like it but there are cheaper options out there.

I'm not sure if the 1Tb will be enough or not but i don't know anything about making models and such.
