Budget VR Build

I'm looking for help on building a budget VR build that's not so crazy budget that it's barely good enough to VR, I prefer it to be ok/pretty good for VR but still not too amazing to save money. DISCLAIMER: I'm starting this list early because It's nice to have everything ready so that when something comes out I only change one thing and I am familiar with everything else. I will be building this in late November/early December so I have a lot of time. Any help would be appreciated

The cheapest PC that will barely run VR decently is maybe something like this? For a better build, upgrade the CPU to the 1600, change the GPU to the 6GB version, change the motherboard to a B350 Strix, add an SSD, get a better case, and get 16GB RAM. In that order, depending on the budget.

Edit: since you're building it so late, maybe consider the Coffee Lake 8600 or 8600K. You will have to change the motherboard.

Btw, this is different from the other build, this is for my brother and the other expensive PC I told you about is gonna be mine.
