Ok. So this past summer I built a gaming computer bought all the parts from newegg. A few minutes ago I went onto newegg and looked at my wishlist and all the parts I put in my pc. I went to the ram because I'm thinking about adding 8 more gigs. I saw the memory was 2400mhz and thought no mines 1600mhz and so I figured newegg had messed up. So I went to my gaming pc and took out one of the ram sticks and looked at it. Its 2400mhz! All this time I was thinking I had 1600mhz ram when I actually had 2400mhz ram. I had no idea

Gaming rig- Cpu- Amd 9590, 16gbs of G Skill Ram, Gpu- GTX 760 windforce 3 edition 2gb. A Thermaltake water 2.0 water cooler for my cpu. Keyboard- Thermaltake Posieden , Case- 750D, Mobo Asus 990fx R2.0. 24 inch Dell LED monitor

Check in BIOS or CPUZ, see if it's truly 2400MHZ or it downclocked.

I guess this is a happy fuck up? :P

Just cause it supports it, doesn't mean it's running it. Check and see if it's truly at 2400Mhz

I remember seeing it saying 1600. How would I get it to run at 2400mhz if motherboard supports it?

Go into the bios and look for your overclock settings, there will be a setting to change your RAM frequency.
