Wireless Earbuds

I am thinking of switching to the latest iPhone X and need a new pair of wireless earbuds. I was thinking of going with the Airpods but not sure. I am by no means an audiophile but I would like good sound quality. My budget is <$160 and I do plan to wear them for running but mostly just listening on the go. I love the convenience the Airpods offer with pairing and synergizing with the Apple-verse but could go other ways. Any help is much appreciated.
