Hello everyone. I've been all summer working Ubuntu gnome17.04 without problem. I work on two screens and in one I always have some live charts in Chrome. For a couple of days they did not work. They go too slow. And it just happens to me with the charts. In Firefox goes more fluid but more or less the same.

Since I had already in mind to return to 16.04 I took advantage of the situation and did it this morning so it saved me looking for the problem. But without success. After that I've tried it on windows 7 and I've had the same problem so I finally downgraded to Ubuntu14.04 to check that it was not a problem with the AMD graphics, but still the same. In fact it seems that now it is slowing down even more... even the videos load slower and they look worse ... To all this we must add the fact that every time this happens the PC is blocked momentarily.

I work with an AMD with integrated graphics. And I use the HDMI output for one screen and the VGA for the other + 8GB of RAM that for what I do is going well

Where do you think the problem may come from?

I suspect overheating could be what's wrong. Whats the CPU, motherboard and cooler, this info will be of most important right now. You might need to change the TIM if the thermal transfer is bad, but I doubt that. You'll need AMD Overdrive for Windows for accurate temperature sensing if you have an FX (or FX derived) CPU.

I don't thing heating is the problem. Using psensor the temperature with a cpu usage of 90 doesn't go above 50. But It did on summer 60+-. As i said my work is basically on the web. With two screens. Not programming or anything like that. Apart from Vbox sometimes.

The specifics are:

CPU:  AMD APU A6-3670K 2.7Ghz Socket FM1

motherboard: Gigabyte GA-A75M-D2H

and the cooler is the one that came with the CPU and another integrated on the hardcase. Nothing else. But as i said, been working for 5 years without a problem...

How can a Internet fault make my PC slow? The CPU is at 100% when I get to any live chart

Well, that looks like it's just gotten too slow. Note psensor isn't as accurate when used to measure these types of CPU, however it doesn't seem that hot even if it's off by a few degrees, maybe think about an upgrade to a basic display adaptor and Ryzen R3 1200.

Yours faithfully
