Hi! Is there an option or plugin for Nvidia Share where I could filter keyboard and/or air con noise while recording? I searched around to no prevail and most results ended up being either audacity or noise gate.

To my understanding audacity could only remove those click noise when I'm not talking, which is a problem because I talk a lot. So that's not an option.

And I still don't understand how noise gate works? Can someone please elaborate.. sorry for the noob question. Thank very much!

Hi!

I don't think such a thing exists built into Nvidia Share. There are numerous software virtual "mixing" applications that can do some real time processing but none of them are good enough for me to recommend.

A noise gate is simply a form of processing that does not allow sounds below a certain level to get out. A channel remains muted or at least quiet, unless the signal gets above a threshold, before it unmutes or goes to normal volume.

The best fix to remove external sound is having the correct mic, the correct position, and settings, and having a quiet room. I also have a noise air conditioning (wall unit), and even with room treatment, lots of different mics, and various processing on an outboard sound board, it's tough to get rid of that noise.
