Thunderbolt 3 for x299

I'm helping my friend build a PC that he is going to use for logic pro (audio mixing software). He is wanting to move away from macs, but thunderbolt is still a standard for a lot of audio devices and it's very important for his build. So far their are only a couple of mobos with thunderbolt 3 support on the x299 platform, mainly looking at the asus prime deluxe x299. Are there any other options? Also he isn't super tied to x299 but he wants to be on as modern of a platform as possible.

Out of stock, but something like that.  Just takes a pci slot.

Just grab the Asus Thunderbolt 3 card. Other cards might not work.
