Hello guys. Today I got a great deal on a 4GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM and a Corsair VS450 for £15, although not everything is good news. When I was cleaning the fan on the PSU, I broke one if its blades. What can I do about this? I can replace the fan with one of my 3-pin case fans, but will there be any difference in noise/performance? I could superglue it back on, but that's just too janky, even for me.

Many thanks, Bruno.

Quote me so I can reply back :)

I would just replace the fan if possible for a fan of the same size. Make sure you know what connection for a fan the PSU takes, as it may be using a 2 pin header like this one: Image result for 2 pin psu fan header

You can buy pretty much any type of fan with any type of connector for like £3 which will just run at a low RPM so just remember to make sure what connector for fans the PSU uses and you're set :D

If you open up the PSU carefully and avoid touching any components other than the fan inside then you should just be able to screw in a new fan.

Nothing is wrong with superglue though

^ Don't do that. That is a dumb idea (No offence :3).

I once did the unthinkable, back many headphones ago...

I split an audio split, again

super glue it on, but in this case more is better, u dont want no blade flying around the PSU mid use

I replaced it with a case fan I had and connected the 3-pin connecter to a fan header on my motherboard. Although, this is only a temporary solution, I'll buy a new fan once I find one of the same model at a good price online. Thank you for replying.

Again, don't do this please. The blade will never be correctly balanced if you are adding the weight of super glue to a blade, or will the blade be in line with the other blades and could even hurt performance because of it not being precisely alligned.

Not the smartest idea as a brand new fan to replace the current will probably be cheaper than any good super glue...
