First time 'buget' gamng pc build

I would like to make a new gaming pc for around £500

I came up with this build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/SpicyCactus/saved/BxmMpg

And this one: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/SpicyCactus/saved/V8sJVn

For the first one, a gtx 970 costs about £150 second hand in my area.

If i bought the cheaper second list i could invest in a better mouse or mechanical keyboard.

The ram prices right now are crazy so should i buy second hand?

My purposes for this pc are to game and do a little bit of streaming.

Any thoughts??

Many thanks,

Elliot

The Ryzen CPUs come with a decent cooler.

i would recommend not going with a mech keyboard and a good mouse, you see.. with pc building you always have to choose in this pattern:  important --> non-important

so basically get the better pc parts first, and then save up for a good mech keyboard and a mouse, you will thank me later..

is your budget 500 pounds or 600? your first build's price is 600 pounds with the 970.

Ryzen stock cooler is really good, you shouldn't need to worry about that.

Do you need the 1tb drive immediately? I'd highly recommend getting a smaller capacity SSD and then adding an HDD later when you can afford it, the difference between an SSD and a 5400rpm HDD is insane. While you won't have a higher framerate in games because of it, everything else in your system will be MUCH faster and more responsive.

The 970 is a good deal, it's about on par with a 1060 (albeit a little less Vram).

Yes na ssd is much faster than an hhd drive but for the same price i wouldn't be able to get much storage.

I would agree, but don't you think the r5 1400 is better price/performance??

doesn't perform all that differently than the 1200 in gaming with something like a 970, while the 1600 has 2 extra cores and double the cache for performance.
