I have an old Inspiron 560 motherboard with a BIOS that limits my chip to no overclocking. Id like to flash a custom BIOS onto my mobo to give it overclocking abilities. Ive tried a few methods, but cant seem to figure it out. Any suggestions? Its an American Megatrends BIOS

Its EXTREMELY unlikely, there are several limitations that would prevent you from overclocking such as chipset, power supply, and CPU cooler. If your chipset doesnt support overclocking then you arent overclocking, the other two can be dealt with easily. And you most likely will not be able to install a custom BIOS because most OEM parts are rigged to where if a custom BIOS was installed, something may go wrong. Not all do this but keep that in mind. Since it is Dell I doubt it but still keep if in mind

Its just too much work and far too much risk, I would recommend just saving up for something newer

its a side PC that i have as a project, so if you know how to do it, id appreciate the advice.

Well I would first do research on the chipsets on the board and see if they have any native overclocking ability at all, if not then you simply are not overclocking.
