Windows 8.1 Embedded version. Better or not?

I currently use Windows 8.1 Pro. My SSD only has a max cap. of ~250gb and I need every single bit.

As we all know Win 8.1 Pro is full of crappy apps that no one uses. So I thought maybe it would be a great idea to use embedded OS as it has several unnecessary features stripped off (if i'm not mistaken). 

I don't need ANY of the "apps". I don't want any of these lame multimedia softwares such as pic viewer, music player, microsoft one drive, blablah all that crap. I don't need any of this. I'll seperately download what I need.

 

So with this being said, do you think it's worth installing Windows 8.1 Embedded? Would I also get a little fps benefit when gaming? Any disadvantages at all?

If you want to customize your Windows ISO to cut off excess fluff, you can use a tool like NTLite or WinToolkit and customize it.

 

Otherwise, if you're doing it for gaming performance, you're not going to get practically anything at all.

Also according to this post (https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-Windows-8-1-embedded-and-Windows-8-1), it may not have support for certain drivers, especially graphics ones, because it's meant for things like ATMs and POS terminals which have no need for those.

Hmm, thank you. I'll try to get rid of all the apps and I'll disable useless processes.
