1 case fan?

Hello, i found a cooling fan which was lying around my garage, so, can you use 1 cooling fan and where should i put it, and if it should take air or blow it out the case? 

p.s. the places where i can mount my fan are on the back and on the side pannel.

If you can't put it in the front of the case as intake then exhaust at the back would be best for airflow away from the CPU.

so it should take air from back of the case where the power supply is?

Yah, pull it out of the case.

If you case doesn't have any fans, rear exhaust. If it already has intake or exhaust fan, add opposite. For intake add exhaust and other way around.
