how to transfer windows from harddrive to ssd

so I just bought a new computer and I was going to put my hard drive in it since it only came with a 256 gb ssd (the harddrive is 2tb) the dude I bought the comp from has windows 10 on the ssd and I have windows 8 on my hard drive and I want the windows 8 version on the hard drive to be moved over to the ssd how do I do this
