Your XFX Experience

Hello LTT community,

 

I'm looking into purchasing a XFX AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB GPU.  Since I have no prior experience with the XFX, I was wondering what others thought (based upon experience) of the brand.  Please share your stories here.

I bought a XFX RX480 GTR short after launch. The fans are annoyingly loud and the casing doesn't scream quality. I personally would choose MSI or ASUS over XFX any day of the week.

I've had a few of their cards over the years starting with a 9800 GTX and now currently a RX480, never had any issues and I agree that they're second best behind Sapphire.

I can't comment on that, since the first time I ever contacted the customer service of a manufacturer was EVGA a couple of days ago.

I'm not sure that build quality varies between the same product by much. Fan noise maybe, but not build quality.

I had 2 5570s that were never cleaned out and they still run nicely today. I'd say go for it.

Thanks for the replies thus far.  I appreciate the sharing of your individual experiences with the brand.  I'll probably be picking up the card next Friday as it currently is available for a decent price point through my employer.
