Hello everyone! I am planning on upgrading my computer, and I have stumbled upon 2 that caught my interest. They're the same price but i'm not sure which one's better, so that is why I'm here.

They are both $50 CDN, and they are supposed to be able to support the Intel Pentium 4400 CPU but just to make sure, do they? Thanks everyone!

H110M PRO-VD PLUS

Main difference is VD Plus has an extra VGA port, has half the USB 2.0 ports, doesn't have USB 3.0 ports (Pro-D has 2), and Pro-D has front panel USB headers where's the VD Plus does not. So D-Plus is definitely better.

Side note though, I don't suggest you get a pentium 4400. It'll work but you can get the g4560 which should cost much more but comes with a higher frequency and hyper threading which will help a lot.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

They're both socket 1151 but are based on a chipset (H110) that has very few features and it's very limiting (no overclocking, few pci-e slots, few usb and sata connectors).

They're basically very budget boards, not worth buying only because you have a cpu (you'd need to upgrade to ddr4 memory as well)

At a brief look it seems like Pro-VD just has the extra VGA connector (you can use a DVI to VGA adapter otherwise) and maybe because there's 2 connectors you may be able to use 2 monitors at same time (but then again, not sure if intel allows that on motherboards with h110 chipset)

// You should save more money and go for a ryzen 1200 with a b350 chipset based board in the future and sell cpu+mb+ram(if it's ddr3 on ebay / whatever). b350 because alows overclocking, cheaper a320 chipset based boards won't let you overclock.
