GTX 780 ti vs GTX 960 2GB?

I have a friend with a EVGA GTX 780 ti SC who is currently wanting to swap with my EVGA GTX 960 SSC 2GB and I am wanting to know if it is worth it.

Apparently, the reason he is wanting to swap is because he wants a 9xx series card. He has not overclocked it, but has had the power, voltage and temp limits on MSI Afterburner maxed. 

Would it be worth swapping? I am seriously considering it.

780 Ti >>>> 960

 

A 780Ti is more like a 970 in terms of performance.

With the mining craze... The GTX 1060 6GB is selling about £250-£300... I would be lucky to get £150 for a GTX 780 ti. And with my system being powered by a Xeon, I don't have a iGPU I could use either and I have no spare GPUs at hand either.

The 780Ti is faster than your 960, and has 1GB more VRAM. The trade is worth it. You'll be able to sell the 780Ti for about $30 more than your 960.

Oh it's worth it. Look at it this way - the last gen Ti cards are almost equals to the next gen X70 cards. ;)
