AMD Radeon Instinct - Deep Learning Cards

Radeon Instinct cards are set to launch at some point in the near future... and they look pretty badass.  Only problem is... they are explicitly meant for non-display applications.  As in they have no HDMI output, etc.

THEY LOOK SO COOL.  WHY THE HECK DID VEGA NOT COME OUT IN THIS COLOR SCHEME?  YELLOW RX OR RIOT.

RIP me.

I... I don't understand...

I could see miners going gaga over these cards but deep learning? Unless these have waaaaaaaaaaay better power efficiency than standard RX Vega, I can't see datacenters adopting these over even last gen Teslas...

Unless I'm missing something here?

i think it's just AMD trying to play the big heads and look like a big guy...probably their way saying ''look, we expert monkeys are here, and we are trying to compete''...it's about brand image.

They will probably sell about 12 or 13 of them cards, and they don't care.

I guess. It just seems like Vega has been one huge posturing thing after the next though...

I'm really happy for AMD getting back on their feet and making an epic product line with Zen, but RTG's past two systems (Polaris/Vega) have just left me shaking my head. I hope they can get back on their feet with... what is it... Navi?
