We are all Serious tech heads here but somethings is difficult do find answers to alone so i have a serious issue i need find answer to.

I Did write a Mail to MSI because its about my laptop MSI GT72S 6QE Dominator Pro G.

I will post my letter to MSI under and hope anyother have had similar issue that they did find the answer to and maby can guide me ;D

 

 

 

 

Hello 2 days ago i had a bad experiance With my MSI GT72S 6qe Dominator Pro G.

I have used it now for about 2,5- 3 years and suddenly this problem pop´s up.

 

Was playing World of tanks and got freeze and had to do hard reestart after a fiew hard reestarts the computer compleatly shutts Down even so hard that the light indicator on the Power brick stopped lighting. I was forced to unplug the brick from the wall and back in to even start the computer (is this a fail safe?).

 

After many hours of reesearch on the internett i found many similar cases regarding this exact computer the msi gt72s 6qe seems like this is a problem all over the line and peaople that have sendt computers in to service changing battery and plug port and also power supply only to have the same problem back after some time of a spand of only weaks!

 

I have checked the Power savings ad putt it to max i have changed PCI Express Power to battery and also when Connected to off.

I have changed the lowest Power for processor on battery from 5% to 100%.

 

Yesterday i saw the battery icon on my lower right start bar that it said it was Connected to wall Power but nott charging. I than took a EC flash and reeset the battery on the battery reeset hole under the Laptop. Nothing happened than but today its charging and back up to 100 %

 

So i started a game agein to test this and only after 1-2 min into the game the computer shorted out agein same as before, i had to unpug it and back in to gett it up and running agein!

 

I have tested world of tanks, Dishonored 2 and Overwatch and all makes the same problem happen so its not related to the games in particular.

 

I used a multimeter in the Power brick DC adapter and it shuld give 19,5v i messured it to 18,85v but im unsure if its this. I have a peeling that it might be the battery that is failing but realy dont know.

 

Culd it be the GPU ? Battery ? or still the Power supply ?

 

The computer is running opptimal in Windows With youtube and movied it only when gamiing!

 

And considering its a gaming Laptop the main purpous of the computer is now gone!

I use the program "Grammarly" which is free. I highly recommend it. It automatically spell checks even in my post here.
