Hello everyone!

I consider buying a display currently for using it with my Asus GL502VS (i7-6700HQ, GTX 1070, 16GB Ram) for casual gaming (nothing competitive) and coding; but would definitely use it with a desktop system afterwards.

The thing is, I have some expectations / restrictions, so most probably compromises will be made. The preferred features are the following:

  • 27+ inch display (24 is a last resort)
  • 16:9 aspect ratio
  • IPS panel
  • adjustable height and tilt
  • "better" look, "gamer-ish" design
  • Restriction: max $300 (250 Euro, 76000 Hungarian Forints as local currency), yet would consider adding an extra minimal amount for the sake of success.
  • Available on the European market (bc. wall sockets, shipment time, warranty, etc.)

I'd still mention that I play most new games on standard FHD resolution, at least currently with my mobile beast. Probably it could handle optimized titles on WQHD. As for viewing videos / shows, I doubt there would be anything out there higher resolution other than sample videos. So, if you'd suggest a higher resolution display, I'd probably just use it as stated above.

I already looked at the following displays, yet none fits the criteria fully (and the local market's prices are high due to large VAT):

  • ASUS VG245H (24" FHD TN Panel, Height/Tilt Adjustment, 1ms, 75Hz, Freesync, great looks) for $212 - I preferred the 27" edition, but on the local market that costs double the price :(
  • AOC G2778VQ (27" FHD TN Panel, no adjustment, 1ms, 75Hz, Freesynch, I like the red accent) for $220
  • LG 27MP58VQ (27" FHD IPS Panel, no adjustment, 5ms, 75Hz, standard looks) for $215,50

I can consider getting a height/tilt adjustment stand as a last resort, or put the whole thing on the wall, hell - I even taught about getting a 32-43" tv at the same price, after all we're just talking about a display for casual gaming, but then again, I'd go with quality.

Considering the above please feel free to suggest me anything.

Have a great day!

UPDATE:

Just checked the monitor LG 27MP59G-P, and kinda liked it. yet I cannot tell if I'd benefit from it's Freesync tech. The rest is just cosmetic change for the price of an additional $40. Any thoughts?
