Hello

So I have built a pc about a year or so ago with help from this community but I am not the most informed person when it comes to technology.  It seems as though the pc I have built has come across some issues.  There is a pop up thats called realtek hd audio manager and it keeps coming up every now and then, when it does come up on the bottom right there is a notification that I have plugged something in and seconds later I have unplugged it,  I am also unable to get any sound to play through my monitor.  I have no idea what the issue is so any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

Need to use Display port or HDMI or DVI ( I think ? ) to have sound on your monitor. If you use VGA, I don't thinnk its gonna work.

for the Realtek issue, just open control panel, realtek sound, go in options, you can uncheck the box that says " pop up dialog box whenever I plug something " and boom, no more annoying notification

CPU: Intel i7 6700K 4.5 ghz / CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 / Board: Asus Z170-A / GPU: Asus Rog Strix GTX 1070 8GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3000 mhz / SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB / PSU: Corsair RMx 850w / Case: Fractal Design Define S / Keyboard: Corsair MX Silent / Mouse: Logitech G403 / Monitor: Dell 27" TN 1ms 1440p/144hz Gsync

Go to device manager, and then click the arrow where it says "sound, video and game controllers", find Realtek, then right click, then update.

If that doesn't work, do the same thing, then uninstall Realtek, Restart the PC.

Then go online to this page:

http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

and download whichever version is compatible, install it then restart the PC again.

Not manually, I thought the computer auto checked?

Sometimes it does, but a fresh install is not a bad idea. If it continues also check the connections. I had a issue with that where a loose connection caused the same issue.

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself
