I mean Nvidia said it themselves.

go spend 2 minutes on google and type in "volta release date" and you will have literally hundreds of pages of information that tell you you're wrong. Also if you're follow these things at all, It was always Nvidias plans to release it later this year after Vega to counter AMD and put them in the dirt.... then when they saw how laughably laughable that was, Nvidia's CEO had this to say

"All I can say is that our pipeline is filled with some exciting new toys for the gamers, and we have some really exciting new technology to offer them in the pipeline. But for the holiday season for the foreseeable future, I think Pascal is just unbeatable. It's just the best thing out there. And everybody who's looking forward to playing Call of Duty or Destiny 2, if they don't already have one, should run out and get themselves a Pascal."

(Source: https://www.kotaku.com.au/2017/08/nvidias-volta-cards-wont-arrive-until-next-year/)

Combine all of that in addition to recent release cycles of the past several generation of Nvidia GPU, and you learn there is no chance in hell we're looking at a 2019 release. Probably not this year as was initially announced/expected, but very early next year we should definitely start seeing these things in home PC's. You're welcome for doing your homework for you.

That right there. It is going to be months at best before Nvidia releases Volta.

You just proved me wrong with your source!

Yes.... that's what I said in my first post.... we're likely going to be seeing it in Q1 2018 so if he doesn't NEED to upgrade now it may be worth the wait, rather than dropping a fat stack on a 1080ti now which won't be top dawg in a mere 6 months and will be outmatched by a cheaper product (the 2080 or whatever they choose to call it)
