Possibly you need to reset your motherboard's CMOS?

Pull the coin cell battery out of the motherboard. press the power button as the computer is unplugged for 30 seconds, and put the battery back in. Switch your computer back on and see if that works.

That would be the battery. (Remember to check the orientation.) Forgot to check, did you try loading default configuration in the motherboard Setup? you can by pressing <ESC> when the ASrock logo shows, and finding "load Default Settings" or something of that sort.

Use the "F2" key to get into your bios upon power up. Not the esc key. Your motherboard also supports "Fastboot" which you can enable in the bios.

Best Excuses:

#1(simple) "Well, I never liked that stupid thing anyway!"

#2(complex) "Obviously there was a flaw in the material, probably due to the inadvertent introduction of contaminants during the manufacturing process."
