I have all my parts picked out at the moment but I wanted to buy some cable mod cables to make the final build look good but I have no idea what cables i'll need to buy for all the stuff I have.

if anyone can help me out it would be gratefully appreciated and I also didn't quite know how big of a power supply I would need because I didn't really know how much everything would consume with overclocking and under load so if you have a better idea on what psu I should use that would be great and I still don't know what case fans I should be getting.

@Droidbot trying to keep it intel and this isn't a permanent system, I'm only putting in a 1050 ti and core i5 until October when ill be able to afford to buy a 1080 ti and a core i7 and by December ill have more funds to get another 1080 ti if I decide whether or not I want to put in sli. I'm already using the cablemod configurator but I still don't know exactly what cables I need, you answered none of my questions so if you cant answer them feel free to not reply.

But why? The R5 1600 has more power for less money..

You need a 24pin, 4+4pin EPS, dual 8pin PCIE (maybe more for 1080Ti SLI?) and if you want internal USB/AUDIO/IO.

idk

Instead of getting the GTX 1050 Ti, put the money into getting a i7-7700K. Use the integrated graphics for now. No real gaming perhaps, but buying an GTX 1050 Ti and i5 then discarding them in a few months is a waste.

If you plan to have a single GTX 1080 Ti, then a 650W psu is quite sufficient. If you seriously plan to add a second gpu, then an 850W would be needed.

Corsair has colored cable sets available for all of their modular psu.

As far as what is needed:

  • 1 x 24-pin main motherboard power
  • 1 x 4+4 or 8-pin motherboard EPS power
  • at least 3 SATA power connectors (AIO, ssd, hdd), but it would make sense to order more
  • 4 x 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors for 2 x GTX 1080 Ti

The motherboard comes with 4 black SATA data cables. Two SATA data cables will be required by the build.

BTW, Windows 10 OEM license does not permit use in DIY builds. One is supposed to get a full version.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
