MSI X370 Ryzen 7 1700 No Post

Hey guys, banging my head against the wall on this one. 

 

Built machines in the past so have some udnerstanding......

 

Just purchased a new Ryzen7 1700, MSI X370 Gaming Plus Mobo and Gskill 16GBx2 3200 RAM.

 

Everything installed and ready to rock, and machine will not post, will not send signal to monitor. Tried a few things I found online such as checking last working video card, swapping ram location etc. Any thoughts? If need more info I can provide. Currently have brand new GTX 1080 sitting in there as well. Tried my older 970 which is what I'm upgrading from and nothing.

try removing the cmos battery, leave it out for like 30 seconds then put it back in.  has worked for me in the past on a intel system

Could be one of the power cables getting lose or you didn't turn on the PSU (there's a switch on the back of it) or the switch on the socket on the wall.

My system is firing up. In fact it has some LEDs that tell if bad/undetected memory/cpu. When I was moving RAM around those error lights were turning on, I put RAM in correct location and that fixed it. So power is not the problem? The board is lighting up, all lights/fans are turning on.

Ryzen has a weird thing where it needs to reboot 5 times. I believe its so the board sets it self up. I learned it the hard way lol.

CPU power header plugged in? It's on the far end of the mobo so some people just misses it.

No. Hold down power till everything is off power on for 10 sec then off 5 times.
