Tightening timing on trident Z modules

Quick question, I noticed g.Skill sells trident Z with 3 different sets of timings. For my birthday, my wife got me a kit but it's the 16 Cas kit (16-18-18-38), has anyone had luck tightening timings to match the 15 Cas kit (15-16-16-35) or even the 14 Cas one (14-14-14-34)?

You don't need to tighten. If you install them your mobo will pe-set the timings for you to the highest ones.

Also your wife sounds awesome, she got you PC parts as a gift lol.

Doesn't need to, sure, but it's (potentially) free performance. @MageTank has a good guide on it, and there's a reason he does it.

Those are the best wives. I got a 960 EVO right after launch for Xmas last year.
