Is Freesync worth it?

Friedmurloc

Hey all, so i was planning to build a whole new AMD rig with their Vega 56, i also a quite nice freesync display from samsung, it's also 144hz, now my question is, is Freesync worth it, or shall i just stick to pure 144HZ without any of that trickery?

G-Sync in my experience is worth it.

So Freesync should also be worth it.

But you can always test it yourself and turn Freesync off if you dislike the slight delay.

I have Gsync and I think it's worth it. I personally wouldn't buy a freesync monitor unless AMD was more competitive in the GPU market or if freesync became compatible with Nvidia cards.
