I am planning on purchasing and building a new rig for myself.

I am currently using a crappy HP Pavilion from 2009.

Current PC Specs:

CPU- AMD Quad-Core A6-3600

Ram- 6GB DDR3

Graphics- AMD Radeon HD 6530D

Storage- 1TB

For my new PC my budget is $3000 USD (Stated in the title) but I can go a little bit over. I will OC both the CPU and the GPU.

I used pcpartpicker for planning out my new rig.

(Desk, chair, and other peripherals included)

Just want some advice on the build, if you think you can make a better rig please post it. (Use PCPARTPICKER please)  :D

*Update* http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2ceFL

Might switch to Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 2 instead of the H100i.

Drop the sound card and get some noctuas, and i7 with 16gb RAM is overkill for just gaming and with the extra money get a 780ti

Would I be able to OC the 780ti with its current fan?

I know that noctuas are very good fans, but they are ugly.

Yes

Don't get the performance edition corsair fans they are LOUD

Are you planning to add another 780 for sli?

Why 144 hz?

Not unless I get two GTX 780 for the price of one...

I heard its one of the best monitors.

High frequency TN panels tend to get such high frames by sacrificing color quality. Unless you're gaming competitively, I wouldn't sacrifice the better viewing angles and colors of a 60 hz IPS panel over a 144 hz TN one.

Can you recommend another one?

Can you recommend another one?

Actually I have recommendations for the entire build.

But first, were you planning on sli later on or sticking with a single gpu and replacing it later?

I'd prefer to keep 1 GPU.

Are you sure you need a bluray drive?

This HP has beats audio in it.

._.

I meant like what headphones or speakers you have.

You put a xonar in your build.
