So, What do you think of this build i'm doing in christmas? I'll use it for gaming and 3d modeling:

  • intel i5 4670k
  • asus z87m-plus
  • asus gtx650 ti boost 2gb
  • bitfenix prodigy m
  • WD caviar blue
  • XFX pro550w
  • Kingston XMP BEAST 8gb (4x2gb)
  • CM Hyper 212 EVO

For 3D rendering it will work, If you can I would suggest an SSD it will make a lot faster rate off the bat, Also if it is possible I would grab 16GBs for the 3D rendering, for rendering more ram is always better.

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Just some helpful stuff: You're - You are, Your - Your car, They're - They are, Their - Their car, There - Over there.

hmmm how about a xeon 1230 V3 with H87 board ? its an i7 4770 non K and no integrated gpu basically .so its better for work.8 threads.with that you leave out the cooler and get a gtx 660.

couse gaming with that i5 but only gtx 650 Ti boost ? lets be honest...

An 8320/8350 would be cheaper and better.

These are irrelevant benchmarks. None of them are for cad.

The way cad works tends to be highly optimized for AMD FX cpus architecture.

I can't fit amd in a prodigy m. I'm buying in a store here in Portugal, here, i wish you luck: http://www.alientech.pt/

Oh that makes sense. What's your budget?

He steals them... Naah, just kiding, on the company he works in they can buy them without the VAT (IVA, here in Portugal). Our VAT is 23% so, I have like a 23% discount!

How's this look?

I really want the prodigy m, so no AMD

In that case, just get the Prodigy M and replace the cpu/mobo:

Get rid of the 212 Evo as it'snot needed.
