I shutdown my computer for some updates, and when I went to turn it back on it decided to just do nothing.. I checked the outlet, and it's fine as well as the PSU switch, power cable, and everything else I could think of. I haven't just tested the Psu , but it worked fine seconds before with no problem, so I don't think that's the problem. The nic light is on, but I think it does even if the board is bricked, so not sure if that's helpful... If you have any ideas on what it could be I'd greatly appreciate it.

No bumping. Try jumping the motherboard's power switch.

You first want to isolate the issue away from the operating system, since you said you did updates, unplug all your HDDs & SSDs to elimiate that from the diagnostic of hardware.

Using a "boot cd", Ultimate boot cd, Hiren's boot cd, linux distro, pop that in your usb/cd/dvd, and boot to the "Boot CD". If you are able to boot to that without issues, you may have an operating system issue. If you cannot boot to the "boot cd" you may have a hardware issue ram, mobo, cpu, etc.

It won't do anything, since when I mean it won't power up, I mean not even a fan will spin. (I did try that regardless, and it didn't do anything.)

Does the NIC light count? (I think it does)

I suspect the psu, or at least part of it is bricked. Are you sure the NIC light is glowing? Any other LED lit - motherboard?

Its the only LED on the motherboard, so that's all I got.

yep i suppose it means that your board is getting power so the psu's fine.

Is it possible the board is dead then? ( I think I remember my one really old PC that had the NIC light light up, but wouldn't power on, and I think it was the board.

The PSU may be able to operate in standby mode, but it may not be able to fully turn on and operate it the way you want it to.

Have you tried reinstalling windows?

It doesnt have to do with the boot, or anything.. (It won't power on anything, not even a fan.. If windows was the problem that wouldn't be the case)
