Dual Xeon E5506 LPC controller

I've got an error on a dual Xeon server, that I worked out to be a bad seated CPU and the device has stopped reporting the not working error, however now it's reporting a no driver error, I'm assuming it's some low bandwidth bridge or something, but I suspect since the E5606 has been discontinued entirely while the higher end Xeons in the 56xx series are still kinda supported, they have more drivers, is this something I should be worried about?
