Hi guys, I have been helping my friend spec his PC, and this is what we currently have:

Mother Board = MSI Computer Corp. Motherboard North Bridge AMD 970 & South Bridge AMD SB950 Chipset ATX DDR3 800 AMD AM3+ Motherboards (970A-G46)

Processor = AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition

Graphics Card = Sapphire HD 7790 OC Version 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card

Hard Drive = Western Digital 1TB internal Hard Drive - Caviar Blue (3.5 inch)

RAM = PNY XLR8 8GB

Power Supply = Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus - 600W Power Supply (RS600-PCARE3-US)

Case = Corsair Carbide Series Black 300R Windowed Computer Case (CC-9011017-WW)

OS = WIndows 8

Basically, I think it all looks OK but I am not sure I trust myself fully with £500 of my friends money... Does it all look alright? Work ok?

Also, is there any better parts you know of, for the same price? (He cannot stretch any higher)

Cheers!

Use PCPartPicker, it will tell you where you can get the parts the cheapest and save you money. Buying everything from one retailer normally costs more.

Hmm, ok. I will have a look at that! I guess I didn't with this build cos I didn't when I built mine... :P

If youre using it for gaming grab another 4GB stick of ram.

That is two sticks, but I forgot to put that in the title :P thanks anyway!

Wow, I made a bit of a mistake with the RAM :P Getting this RAM instead - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0057XG7XO/?tag=pcp0f-21

That thing's like perpetually out of stock.

What's the system being used for?
